GEVA Recruiting and Commitment Policy 2023-2024
The Content of the GEVA Juniors Recruitment and Commitment Policy for the 2023-2024 season remains basically the same with a few clerical edits.
The 2023-2024 edition of the policy is currently in effect, and will remain in place until August 31, 2024. It will continue to be reviewed periodically as we continue to move forward and grow as a region.
For tryouts authorized by GEVA, between August 13, 2023 and September 1 2024, Players must either have a current GEVA/ USAV membership, or register for the 2023-2024 Junior Development Membership (becoming available mid July. Any other membership taken after 8.1.2023 will be a 2023-2024 season membership and will become active on 9.1.2023
Instructions are available to all potential members on the GEVA website. All 2022-2023 memberships expire on 8.31.2023.
You must bring proof of the USAV registration to any GEVA Authorized Tryouts. You can use this for all tryouts you attend but be aware each club usually has a separate tryout fee.
Membership options for Junior Players have changed. There are two membership options. The Junior Development Membership allows for all activities within the GEVA region with the exception of being placed on a roster for GEVA / USAV authorized competition. NEW for the 2023 – 2024 season is a Developmental membership that will become available early July and become August 1, 2023. This membership is essentially an extended membership intended for use for camps, clinics, and tryouts as well as to continue to train, attend clinics and other developmental events without the complexity of multiple upgrades. The membership is fully upgradeable to a Competition Membership.
The Junior Competition Membership allows for Junior Members to do everything above plus be placed on rosters for all GEVA / USAV authorized events.
If you have questions regarding this, please contact the Junior Competition Chair at Juniors@geva.org. Phone calls or text messages will not be replied to.
